Fond du Lac, WI., June 15, 2006 – Twin performance drivers, together with the consumption of Mercury Racing dry-sump Six drives Power Team CRC, a 39-foot MTI catamaran hull piloted by driver / owner Mike DEFRA Vancouver, Washington, with veteran Throttleman Jeff Harris of Greenville, North Carolina, on sticks, to victory in the OSS Cat Extreme competition in the OSS Winston Offshore Cup, Sunday, June 11th, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The race was the third round of the 2006 Offshore Super Series (OSS), the national game of the season.
Team CRC and Budweiser Select, another MTI hull powered by two 1500 hp Sterling engines race to the world champion John Tomlinson Throttleman at bats and team owner David Scott behind the wheel, had an intense duel in the first two rounds. The CRC team closed out the window in turn three early in the third round. The CRC team departed from Budweiser Select and never looked back to capture the checkered flag. Budweiser Select and Cintron rounded 2-3. Team CRC now leads the national contact points with 290 Chase OSSCX points, followed by Budweiser Select and Cintron with 286 and 282 points respectively. CRC team owner / player Mike DEFRA was elated with the victory and performance SCi consumer Engine 1075.
"The 1075 CLC ran smoothly," said DEFRA. "They are incredible. We have two tracks and poker three careers in them – along with tons of test time. They are just purr like kittens – they have not lost a beat. "
"We do not have to touch" Defra said. "Our competitors are rebuilding engines every race. I think they're curious to see how you can continue to function in the best way we have with drivers of consumption – particularly against purpose built racing engines that have a lead of 400 horsepower. "

OSS Cat
Billy and Jay Muller Mauff expanded their OSS Cat national centers led by winning his second consecutive OSS Cat competition board WHM Motorsports, a 40-foot Skater catamaran powered by twin Mercury Racing engines OSS Cat race with Mercury Racing dry sump six units. JB Byrider laps in third place in the points race with 186 points OSS Cat.
OSS Cat Lite
Twin Mercury Racing HP525 EFI engine packages with dry sump six difficult Powered Motley Crew, piloted Scott and Ron Roman, his third victory of the season. This victory showed the team can dominate in rough water as it did in the calm waters of the previous races. The brothers Romans were ahead throughout the race, followed by air Hooters reliable in the second and third. Reliable and Lightning Jacks were penalized – Moving Popeye third. Reliable and Lightning Jacks in the fourth round and fifth. All are equipped with two packs of Mercury Racing 525 EFI engine.
OSS Vee
Wazzup, pilot helmet Fountain by father-son team of Ed and Anthony Smith has continued his winning streak to claim his third straight race, after leading the top field to finish in the OSS Cat Lite competition. Fury is on their heels for most of the race, but a mechanical failure, were forced to abandon the race on lap seven. Miccosukee Indian Gaming finished second with Black Pearl rounding third. Miccosukee is consulted three one-minute penalty as its propeller was considered illegal during the inspection. The Black Pearl penalty placed second and third Miccosukee. Fury and Bad Boy Jet Ski / God Speed rounded fourth and fifth. Everyone were powered by twin Mercury Racing 525 EFI engine packages.
OSS Vee Lite
Drivers Laveycraft Brian Devlin and Kevin Cooper won his first OSS Vee Lite race of the season. Wild Ride, WHM Mini Me, Senor Frog and Screamin 'Eagle rounded second in fifth place. All are equipped with two packets of Mercury Racing 525 EFI engine.
OSS Cat Outboard
Two outboard Mercury Racing 2.5 EFI Medela Light powered race to win his first race OSS Cat Outboard of this year. Mapel, Loan Shark Mojo and American Dream Homes Builders rounded second to fifth place. All are equipped with twin engine outboard Mercury Racing 2.5 EFI race.
Mercury Racing supports OSS with a contingency of the prize pool $ 150,000 for the 2006 season racing. The award recognizes pilots who use mercury outboard Racing-Sterndrives and approved in the National Series events in OSS OSS Cat Lite, OSS Vee OSS Vee Lite and OSS Cat class competition outboard. OSS Cat class competitors using Mercury Racing approved OSS Cat power train will be awarded a distinguished and Mercury Racing Winners Circle promotional credit program.
