How can you make a good bowl of a vinyl record?
I made lots of wavy vinyl bowls, but I recently watched Super soft vinyl Bowls in stores. I wonder if there is no way I could do that at home. Here is an example of which I speak: http://www.vinylux.net/Vinylux/Record_Bowls.html
You need to find a bowl large enough to accommodate logging in. Once you find the right cup, reheat the disk with a heat gun. A dryer Hair in high value, can be quite hot, but it may take some time to get the record fairly smooth. I use a flame torch, and keep the flame far enough not to overheat the recording. Once the case is soft and pliable, place it in the container and the center of it. A record is very flexible when it gets quite hot in she. You burn hot enough fingers, you need gloves to do so. I use a stainless steel container that I got from a garage sale. It is wide and shallow. The bowl should be shallow so that the file can be gently curved upward at the sides, has not been withdrawn.
